Many things in life are easy to do, but just require some time to do them. Link building is definitely one of them. There are many great tips out there about how to build links back to your website, (and this blog is becoming a growing list of such tips) but sometimes it’s just hard to sit down and build links back to your site, when you’re not always seeing instant benefit. Some methods take more time than others, but depending on the outcome and the benefit, some are worth it, and some are not.
Since the internet has produced many opportunities for people to become entrepreneurs (most of you are taking that route through your own blogs and sites), people have also taken it upon themselves to offer link building services, for those people who are just too lazy to do it themselves.
Many of these services are cheap, some are useless, and others can cost a pretty penny, and have some good effect, whereas some are just scams. How do you know which service is which? Trust DigitalPoint’s iTrader? Trust their catchy sales page with red font and yellow highlighting and fake testimonials? I am willing to try different services, to see what does and doesn’t work.
Now, since I have been giving free tips along the way in this blog, and will continue to do so, I am going to leave it up to the readers about whether or not I should offer reviews of paid link building services. When I am trying the different services, I will try to negotiate a discount for my members. If the services have an affiliate link available, I will use it, but also give you the chance to not use my affiliate link.
So, this is all up to you, use the poll in the sidebar to vote, and in a few weeks, I will go with whatever you guys say!
Stay tuned for some fantastic tips.

Hi Breakaway,
Michael from Emarketscout here.
I think reviewing paid services too will round up the info you give very well, so your redaers can make an educated decision, if they are better of with a free or with a paid service.
The idea of trying to get disconunts is also great.
In one of my recent posts i give away a free report on how to get quality backlinks and traffic fast. Though the report is free, the reader of my post has to accept an ethical bribe to get it … *-)
I invite you to take a look and perhaps tell your readers about it, if you like the idea …*-)
Keep the good work up …*-)
Regards,
Michael

I see no reason not to. I would love to hear about them and see if they are worth anything at the end of the day!
Honest Website Reviews’s last blog post..Building Back Links
Hi there
I am a fairly new (but avid) reader to your site. I have used some link building services and have some good and some bad experiences. I would be very keen to read your reviews of linking sites.
Thanks
Simon Skinner
PS if you would like me to give you a list of the services I have used I would be happy to do so.
I also don’t see a reason not to review the sites offering these services. I am sure that it will be beneficial to you as well as to your readers. I personally don’t use link building services right now but maybe in the future while the number of sites I manage keeps growing I will eventually need to find a good service because I won’t have time to do it all myself. BTW, you have a great blog about link building.. just thought I would tell you in case I haven’t already…keep up the good work !

Paid link building services–how long will it take google to identify links that originate from such sources (as they did with link farms) and discount their value altogether? It seems like any attempt to build links to a site that simply does not offer content, that does not really have a following, is short lived.
Unfortunatley most of the paid link building service were NOT able to improve their standards as time passed by. It was alright to spam addurl pages in 2005 but certainly, today it needs alot more.
